Indian ethnic outfits like lehenga-choli, salwar- suits, sherwani,
ghaagra, etc are incomplete without a chunri. You have to drape a chunri over
your body while wearing these outfits because chunri makes these outfits look
more elegant and ethnic. You can buy all types of dupattas online to be
worn on your ethnic attire. Indian women always try to look new and unique with
their style of wearing ethnic outfits. But most of the women find it hard to
drape their chunri in a unique style. You should let go your older style of
draping a chunri and adopt the new styles that are given below-
·
Hang on your chunri on one shoulder- Let
your chunri hang on either your right or left shoulder and take the other end of
chunri on your wrist. You can pin it off there only so that it will not fall
when you do dancing or any other activity.
·
Belt up your chunri on your waist- Make
proper pleats with your chunri and hang it on your shoulder. Then belt up the
chunri on your waist to give it a unique draping style. This kind of chunri draping
style is appropriate for lehenga choli and salwar kameez.
·
Chunri draping like a saree pallu- Just
like you drape a saree, you can drape a chunri also. You just have to take a
corner of your chunri and simply tuck it onto your waist. Then take the
remaining part of chunri and drape it over your body like a saree and pin it up
on your shoulder just like a saree pallu.
·
Rajrani style- On Patiala and Punjabi
suits, rajrani style of draping a chunri looks extremely pretty. For this
chunri draping style, you have to make big pleats of your chunri and place it
on your left side shoulder and just pin it up there. Take the leftover portion
of your chunri and drape it over your right side shoulder and drape it in a way
that it will cover your head also.
·
Gather whole of chunri in pleats- You can
drape your chunri and pin it up on your one shoulder by gathering the whole of
your chunri in pleats. This chunri draping style looks perfect on anarkali
suits. This draping style is easy and it also highlights the design of your
suit.
